Rachelle Bigras
Spa Owner & Laser Technician
Rachelle is the owner of both Above & Beyond in Cornwall, and Above & Beyond in Ottawa. Rachelle has followed her dreams in building an overwhelmingly successful Spa, not once but twice! Rachelle has been in the medical profession for ten years and the medical spa profession for 16 years. As a health care provider, she has gained valuable experience giving exceptional personal care to hundreds of clients. She recognizes the confidentiality and professionalism that needs to be given to both men and women receiving treatments. Rachelle holds a Health Care Diploma and several Nursing Certificates from St. Lawrence College, a Dietary Diploma from the University of Guelph, two Laser Certificates and Microdermabrasion Certification from Clarion Medical, and professional training and Certification from Smile Brite Canada.
Emmily LaRocque
Medical Aesthetician & Administrative Assistant
With 14 dedicated years at the spa, Emmily brings a blend of clinical expertise, attentive pampering, and uplifting energy to every client experience. She earned her esthetics diploma from Elegance College in 2013 and remains committed to ongoing education, regularly updating her knowledge and techniques with modern treatments that support long-term skin health. Certified in advanced services including microdermabrasion and microneedling, Emmily tailors each service to meet her clients' unique needs. Known for her welcoming smile and quick sense of humor, Emmily creates a relaxed atmosphere where clients can unwind, laugh, and let the stress of the day melt away. She considers it an honor that clients place their full trust in her care, and she takes pride in building genuine, lasting connections.
Angela Freeland
Spa Manager & Senior Stylist
Angela joined the Above & Beyond team in September 2012 as Spa Manager. After completing her training at the Academy of Cosmetology and Esthetics in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in April 1993, she moved back to Ontario to begin her career. With more than 20 years of experience, Angie can make your hair dreams come true. She attends regular training courses and hair shows to keep up with the newest trends. Her favourite services are colour and foil transformations and special event styling. Angie has become famous in the Cornwall area for her magnificent and one-of-a-kind up-dos — always the favourite for proms and weddings. Trained in Matrix Colour and AG Hair Care.
Dawn Borris
Salon Manager, Senior Stylist & Laser Technician
Dawn is a professional hair stylist and laser technician at the Cornwall location with over 25 years of experience in the industry. Dawn received her Hair Stylist Diploma at Art and Technique in Cornwall. Specializing in colour, she has been trained on many lines and is exceptional as a Colour Specialist. Another specialty is the traditional roller and set service. Dawn also offers facial waxing and has obtained her Certification as a Medical Laser Technician through the Ottawa Academy, fully trained and certified on both Diode and IPL laser for Hair Removal Treatments.
Jason Secord
Senior Lead Esthetician & Skin Care Specialist
Jason comes to us with 25 years in the beauty industry and an array of certificates and diplomas including Aromatherapy Manicure, Aromatherapy Pedicure, Nail Technician, Epilation, Makeup Artist, Ear Coning, Reiki Level 1, Ear Piercing, and Professional Esthetician. His work experience includes Retail Skin Care Specialist, Retail Makeup Artist, Retail Cosmetologist, and Retail Esthetician, where he trained with leading professional makeup, skincare, and hair care companies. Jason's keen eye for perfectionism and attention to detail ensures each client walks away with perfect nails and polish.
Janelle Lebrun
Hair Stylist
Janelle graduated from Versailles Academy of Hair with her diploma in 2022. She is fluently bilingual in both English and French. Janelle views things open-mindedly and with confidence, giving her the upper hand when coming up with the perfect colour for you. She continues honing her skills with up-to-date trends and techniques through ongoing courses and education, and will be adding Barbering to her belt through Ottawa Academy. Her specialties include colours — especially blondes and coppers. Now accepting new clientele!
Amber Jodoin
Hair Stylist
Amber has been a hairstylist for 10 years. She graduated from Algonquin College in 2013 with a diploma in Hairdressing, worked in Ottawa for 3 years, then moved back home and completed her hairdressing licence. A licensed stylist since 2015, she specializes in colour, haircuts, and updos. Her favourite part of the job is seeing people's smiles as they leave with the hair of their dreams!
Hailey Ivens
Esthetician
Hailey is an esthetician and proud graduate of Algonquin College's 2023 Esthetics program. She specializes in facials, massage, and manicures, with a strong passion for nail art where her creativity and attention to detail truly shine. Hailey is known for creating a calm, welcoming space where each client feels seen, heard, and cared for. Her personalized approach ensures every treatment is tailored to individual needs. Outside of the spa, she enjoys photography, experimenting with bold graphic eye makeup, and spending time with animals.
